Peter worked as an engineer for the world famous Waterford glass company. In 1979, he was driving home from work when two French tourists rushing to catch a ferry crashed into his car at high speed killing all three people in both vehicles.

This is very sad because I remember visiting Waterford in the summer of 1976 and watching the glass being blown by the skilled workers and then shaped into the very expensive crystal. His death was a big blow to the family.
