Hugh McEnhill was born in 1835. He married Catherine McGale on 22 July 1859. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on 9 September 1913 in Tyrone having lived a long life of 78 years. He is pictured holding An Clog Dubh, the Black Bell of the McEnhills – a ninth century church bell kept by the oldest male McEnhill.
Looks like your Great Grandmother (Mary Ann McEnhill b.1868) and my Great Grandfather (James b.1865) were brother & sister. Very interesting to read about the family members with the Easter Uprising connection. My Dad told me about this.
